Kai's reflection
It has been one year since our wedding celebration in Jamaica, held in the embrace of family, friends, and a love that felt truly infinite. December 29, 2024, remains a day beyond words, a time when the world softened, hearts opened, and love became a living presence we could all feel together.
This celebration bloomed through the immense care and devotion of our families and friends. We are especially grateful to Popo and Daddy, whose endless effort, generosity, and intention shaped every part of the ceremony. At Popo’s mountain home, surrounded by the stillness of nature, the space was filled with blessings both seen and unseen.
As the ceremony unfolded, the rain gently arrived like a quiet blessing from the sky. The music continued, voices rose, and love flowed freely through the mist. Our loved ones danced, laughed, and shared the moment wholeheartedly, choosing the beauty of presence over the need for perfection. In that moment, it felt as though the world paused to remind us that life, when lived with love, is profoundly beautiful and deeply romantic.
We are filled with gratitude for the family and friends who traveled from across the world, coming from Taiwan, Canada, Japan, and the United States to be with us. Your presence and your spirit transformed this ceremony into something far greater than a wedding. It became a shared celebration of connection, belonging, and unity.
As a Taiwanese soul who met his Jamaican wife in Sweden, I remain in awe of the mysterious paths that brought us together. From different cultures and different stories, we found one another, and in the heart of Jamaica, we felt the truth of family and home.
We carry deep gratitude for every helping hand, every kind word, and every heart that joined us that day. We hope that in the near future we may gather again to celebrate love once more, to honor the bonds we share, and to remember that we are not separate, but one. May the love we experienced continue to ripple outward, reminding us that when we come together with open hearts, life reveals its most beautiful truths.
